BEIJING , Nov. 3, 2021 /PRNewswire/ — On October 21, 2021, the biennial Sino-Swiss Business Awards ceremony was held at the
China World Summit Wing in Beijing. The Swiss Ambassador to China, His Excellency Bernardino Regazzoni, and more than 450
political and business guests from China and Switzerland attended the grand event. This award awarded winners in eight categories.
The Sino-Swiss Business Award is organized by the Swiss Chamber of Commerce in China and co-organized by the Swiss Embassy in
China and the China Science, Technology and Culture Center of the Swiss Federal Government to recognize groups and companies that have
made contributions to promoting the development of Sino-Swiss business . Following four successful editions in 2013, 2015, 2017 and 2019, this
is the fifth Sino-Swiss Business Award held in Beijing. The award was established to recognize the contributions of many Swiss and Chinese companies,
with particular attention to their leadership, transparency and sustainable business practices. These companies also demonstrated their achievements
in the Sino-Swiss business community, Swiss foreign trade and the promotion of Switzerland in China.
This business award focuses on “sustainable development” and received more than 80 applications. More than 55 Swiss and Chinese companies participated in
the eight categories of awards. The four winners of the Sustainability Awards were the biggest surprises of the evening. Bühler”s ” Smart Factory 1.0 Project
” finally won the “Sustainable High-Tech and Financial Solutions Award” for its outstanding performance in “technological advancement, localized innovation,
industry-university-research cooperation and future sustainability” ; Nestlé won the “Sustainable Production and Supply Chain Award”; Appenzell won the ”
Health and Environmental Responsibility Award”; and ABB won the “Social
Responsibility, Diversity and Education Award”.
