YuMi single-arm robot
The latest member of the YuMi series, the IRB 14050 YuMi single-arm robot, is ABB”s most flexible and compact collaborative
robot to date and is easy to integrate into a variety of production environments. The YuMi single-arm robot has a compact structure and a lightweight body (9.5 kg). It supports a variety of installation methods, including ceiling, desktop and wall-mounted installation, and can be quickly and flexibly integrated into existing production lines. The ultra-light magnesium alloy arm rotates along 7 axes, which can simulate human movements and is more flexible than a 6-axis robot. This robot is specially designed for the small parts assembly process of the consumer electronics industry,
consumer goods industry and small and medium-sized enterprises to meet their flexible production needs.
Like the YuMi dual-arm robot, the YuMi single-arm robot combines the robot”s ease of use with deployment flexibility. At
the same time, in order to meet the higher safety requirements of specific application scenarios, ABB provides the Safe Move2 option for the YuMi single-arm robot, thereby realizing all the safety certification functions of other ABB robots.
In terms of application, the YuMi series of robots are versatile and can be combined with each other in a variety of ways.
For example, the YuMi single-arm robot can be used to deliver parts to the YuMi dual-arm robot to improve flexibility, or the YuMi robot can be added as an extra arm for complex assembly tasks that require more than two robotic arms.
